We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Specialty Doctor in Working age adult Services (Inpatient – 10 sessions). The post holder will be responsible for providing medical cover for two Wards and based at at the Abraham Cowley Unit (ACU) in Chertsey.The post holder’s duties within the team will mainly involve assessment and treatment of inpatients, providing clinical and managerial support to junior doctors and support other clinicians on the ward. You will work closely with the Consultant in charge of the ward to provide clinical leadership for ward rounds, chairing CPAs, preparing reports and attending tribunals.Usual hours of work are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday but we are happy to support flexible hours. The post will not involve any out-of-hours on-call duties, except in exceptional circumstances when extra remuneration will be provided. The postholder would be expected to participate in a daytime duty system to provide medical cover for all both the wards during periods of leave/sicknessMajor investments are in progress to improve environment and to have single bedrooms on each ward as from April 2021 onwards.Research, study, audit and quality improvement are strongly advocated and SABP actively support your involvement. There is also access to the weekly trust wide academic programme.Surrey is recognized as having many areas of outstanding beauty and is well known for its countryside. It is well serviced by excellent rail and road network links, as well as being within proximity of two of London’s main airports, Heathrow and Gatwick. The team base is just off the M25 and there is easy access to London and the coast. Surrey has many attractions for children and families.
