You will be joining a small but enthusiastic and friendly team, who are committed to making positive change in how specialist affordable homes are delivered.Diane believes in working in a collaborative way, valuing diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.This is a rare chance to shape future specialist affordable housing programmes delivery in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders internally within the Investments Directorate and wider Homes Englandfunctions, plus externally with Government Departments and the housing sector. The role will ensure efficient, consistent and effective programme management and skills to help develop programme processes and tools to support effective delivery of our fundinginitiatives.The Manager role supports the design and delivery of key strategic projects for specialist affordable housing delivery, drafting of operational policy and ensuring compliance with the Agencys operational and governance framework. As well as bespoke specialistaffordable housing programmes it also provides support and technical advice for the delivery of specialist affordable homes through the Agencys main Affordable Homes Programme. There will be the opportunity to feed into policy discussions and strategy developmentresponding to Agency and Government priorities in this area.A bit about youWhilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.Youll be comfortable supporting the Senior Manager Specialist Housing Delivery and the wider team with complex programme management and technical issues, aiming to ensure programmes are compliant, delivered on time and to budget. You will be proficientin developing and using programme management tools and processes, able to confidently work on your own but also be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.Youll have experience and knowledge of the affordable housing sector and the strategic and operational environment in which grant programmes operate in and be able to understand the opportunities and barriers around delivery of specialist housing. Usingthis experience, youll be expected to support or lead projects, answer queries about the specialist affordable housing programmes, undertake research and analysis, produce technical guidance, write briefings and present papers with recommendations.Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isnt always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what wedo as an Affordable Housing Grants team. You will enjoy working in an innovative and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.Who are we We are the Governments national housing agency.
