Job Description

In recent years, this company has been going from strength to strength - just like you. Now it needs your great analysis and communication skills to work closely with Operations to develop not only the business but your commercial accounting abilities.Key responsibilities will look like this:

Youll run weekly and monthly P+Ls and dive into the numbers. Youll use your strong analysis skills to look at trends and variances, whether thats issues with a particular contract or labour costs or productivity
Youll have regular meetings with senior management to discuss issues in the numbers and flag them up
Youll also have regular contact with Operations to question the figures they give you, if needed, to ensure they are in line with P+Ls . Youll need to build strong relationships with Ops to do this and this is where your great personality will win theday.
Youll be keeping an eye on all the contract costs, checking that costs make sense on all of them and making management aware if something look out of sync.

What do you need for this role, which will undoubtedly take you further in your career

If you enjoy playing with numbers and have strong analytical abilities then youll have fun in this role
Youll also have strong Excel abilities and a personality, which is able to persuade people to listen to you and give you the information you need. Sometimes it might take a bit of persistence too.
Youll be hungry to develop yourself and wont be frightened of challenging information that doesnt seem right to you.
Ideally, you will have an AAT or be in the early stages of your CIMA or ACCA qualification though if you are further through your studies, please, dont be put off from applying if you think this looks interesting.
