A bit about the role...Working in a team alongside the Project Director or the Senior Delivery Support Manager and a small team of 1-3 Business Support Officers, the Development Committee Secretaries will play a critical role in managing the project approvals process for the Centraland Southern Development teams. You will be joining our small, friendly and talented teams who are committed to making positive change by providing first class support to the Development directorate.The Project Director and Senior Delivery Support Manager believes in delivering a first-class customer service to the development team, providing crucial support and advice and taking an innovative and creative approach to governance issues. They believein working in a collaborative/flexible way to foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.This is a rare chance to shape the future governance processes in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective governance supportand they have the opportunity to help create processes and procedures to deliver a first-class support service.The role will support the delivery of key development projects across the Central and Southern development team areas. There are some exciting and creative projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day deliverywhilst bringing innovative solutions to the local decision-making offering.A bit about youWhilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders in the development team, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and you will have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload to meet tight deadlines andwill always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.Youll be experienced in providing secretariat support to a Board and/or Committee and will be comfortable supporting the Directors & Senior Managers with complex governance issues aiming to ensure that due process is followed. You will be proficient inproviding governance expertise, accurate minuting and possess the excellent organisational skills required to maintain action logs and coordinate papers and reports to an auditable standard and will be skilled in the use Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint,Excel and Teams whilst Adobe Acrobat would be desirable.Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isnt always easy. You will have excellent communication skills and be will be resilient and comfortable in influencing, challenging and managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shapedby a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a development support team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.The Development directorate is spread across 3 regions each with a secretariat for local governance / decision making which feeds into National Boards with their own secretariat and therefore, as an experienced professional youll understand how to managecolleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work closely with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
