Working with key stakeholders and a professional Digital Services team you will ensure efficient, consistent, and effectiveresolution of engineering challenges and help create a first-class data platform for data practitioners across Homes EnglandAs a Data Engineer you will play a critical role in the development of our Azure Data Platform. You will be helping to grow our team of talented Data professionals, who are committed to making Homes England a Data-led organisation. To deliver this you willbe using the latest tools and technologies such as Azure Databricks, Computer Vision and, Azure Machine Learning alongside languages such as PySpark and SQLYou will work with digital, data and technology colleagues collaboratively, taking an innovative and creative approach to deliver key strategic projects around automated analytics and reporting. Your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an engineering team. You enjoy workingin an innovative, fun and engaging way while delivering high quality solutionsYou will be able to design and deliver pipelines to copy data from various sources, transform this data based on the requirements of the analysis and business teams and present this data in an accessible and consistent way. To deliver this you will be ableto work with cloud technologies (preferably Azure) and have a good level of coding skills (preferably Python and SQL)Solutions you deliver should be reusable and scalable with a focus on consistency and maintainability. You will be able to review existing processes and improve them while thinking about better cost efficiency and performance. As part of this you shouldhave a desire to learn and explore new technologiesAs an experienced Digital professional, youll understand how to manage relationships with colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive wayWho are we We are the Governments national housing agency.
