Job Description

A bit about the role...Working in a National Acquisitions Team in the south east region for the Assistant Director; the role of Business Support Officerwill play a critical role in delivering an annual acquisitions budget of +£100m. You will be joining our highly skilled and experiencedteam, who are committed to making positive change in how Homes England acquire land and property for residential led development.The team is dedicated in delivering a first-class customer service, resolving problems informally wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to property acquisition issues. The team believes in working in a collaborative/flexible way tofoster good decision making and problem solving within their team.This is a rare chance to help shape the future of the acquisitions and partnering function in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent datacollection, analysis and reporting. You will also assist in effective management of the internal processes, governance and audit which accompany property acquisitions and have the opportunity to help create an efficient process management system.The role will support the delivery of key strategic projects around land acquisition. There are some exciting and ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing consistency of dataanalysis and reporting and streamlining the processes wherever possible in line with audit requirements.A bit about youWhilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders across the Development Directorate, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and can work at pace, accurately and with attention to detail, through a range ofdifferent tasks and priorities to deliver on competing responsibilities whilst looking for ways to improve and innovate.Youll be an experienced administrative support professional, comfortable supporting the south east Acquisitions team with complex data management and reporting issues and have the required organisational skills to manage the process seamlessly and efficiently.You will have excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills and be experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and be proficient in excel, data collation, analysis, reporting and management as well as step by step process coordination.Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isnt always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what wedo as an Acquisitions team.
