Job Description

One of the leading providers of IT Services is looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Automation Engineer to work for their client, one of the UKs largest financial services companies.Working in a team, you will jointly take responsibility for implementing initiatives that support and improve efficiency. The role will drive technology innovation and change, and you will work alongside stakeholders to create a culture of continuous improvementand collaboration.Whilst the role is infrastructure centered, it will bridge the gap between development and operations to ensure SLAs & efficiency targets are met, providing solutions aligned to the principles of stability, agility, speed, scale and efficiency.Ideally you are an expert of digital transformations within a virtualised infrastructure, understanding their complexities and possible implementation issues. With your knowledge of the DEVOPS and AGILE frameworks you will be expert hands-on tooling andproduct selection, and troubleshooting issues through code.Requirements:

  • automation appliances VxRail, Oracle and Azure;
  • a working knowledge of the ancillary pipeline tools Nexus IQ, SonarQube, Hashicorp Vault, CheckMarx;
  • a working knowledge of the Atlassian Tool Suite the ability to design and implement centralised logging and monitoring solutions with ELK/Prometheus/Kibana/Splunk;
  • strong hands on sysadmin experience of Unix / Linux; and expertise in tools; Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash, Groovy, Docker;
  • expertise in managing cloud platform usage within an enterprise;
  • and be familiar with central IAM solutions, being able to consult on and implement them.
