Job Description

SENIOR DATA WAREHOUSING MANAGER (SNOWFLAKE, SQL, DBT, TABLEAU)MEDIA ORGANISATIONLONDON£90,000A well known UK media organisation with a number of products powered by data are looking for a highly skilled senior data warehousing manager to manage their modelling of data across multiple business areas, how they merge systems and their semantic layersfor reporting.THE COMPANYThe company are a very well known UK umbrella company with a number of different brands and product offerings and they have a large centralised Analytics team split between Data Engineering, Data Warehousing and Analytics.THE ROLEIf you were to be successful in your application for this Senior Data Warehousing Manager, your responsibilities would include:

  • Driving the company towards being a self-serve analytics organisation - providing vision for the tooling, techniques and skillsets required to get them there
  • Build semantic layers so that stakeholders can engage with the vast array of unique datasets they have to offer
  • Develop operational standards and deploy modern data processing techniques, such as the latest data quality frameworks and DevOps practices
  • Work closely with a variety of stakeholders to understand and implement their needs, setting out ambitious projects to change how we operate
  • Create data warehousing solutions which maximise the use of realtime and Big Data datasets (e.g. via Druid, Kafka etc.)
  • Support the data leadership team in pushing forward data strategy andLead and develop a team of data warehousing and engineering experts towards being best-in-class - coaching and developing some of the best data talent
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIn order for your application for theSenior Data Warehousing role to be successful you will need;
  • Experience in coaching and development of data warehousing / data engineering teams
  • Expert knowledge of data architecture and modelling techniques in SQL-oriented systems (RDBMs, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Knowledge of BI platforms/tooling (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of monitoring data reliability and infrastructure performance as well as agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of structured or custom ETL/ELT management (Airflow, Luigi, etc.), including, ideally, working knowledge of the Microsoft stack (SSIS)
  • Knowledge of "Big Data"/NoSQL platforms and services (Druid, MongoDB, Kafka)
