Job Description

Were looking for an experieced AdOps Manager/Director to join one of the worlds leading digital agencies.The role is within the centralized hub for all agency activity related to data strategy, management, and application. This teams end-to-end design, from tag creation through campaign analysis, ensures clients have clean and usable data from which insightscan be gleaned and applied to campaign optimization and media decision making.The AdOps Director will also assist with Google Marketing Platform [GMP] projects. The agency are a GMP sales partner, license GMP products and provide services in relation to GMP products, including platform architecture for CM360, DV360, and SA360 networksand consulting on all things Google marketing.The AdOps Director is responsible for leading digital campaign activation strategies, and developing processes and technology that provide effective solutions for clients. This includes:

  • Lead deployment efforts for key services which include cookieless and privacy measurement solutions, GMP architecture, platform-based attribution (MTA), media tagging solutions (e.g. TMS), and DCO solutions design
  • Identify technical opportunities to address client needs across all channels of digital paid media, in particular display and video.
  • Lead a team of 2-6 individuals who will be activating, optimizing, and consulting on ad tech strategy and campaigns using internal existing products as well as 3rd party solutions
  • Manage production of process documentation for platform tag generation, workflows for website tagging, ways of working documents, solutions and capabilities, etc.
  • Manage internal training to increase awareness and knowledge of activation services
  • Be a subject-matter expert on display campaign activation, and support the education of internal and external teams in these areas.
  • Provide continuous and specific feedback to team members, and encourage rotations, promotions, and all of the good parts of career development GMP
Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with the GMP CoE
  • Developing recommendations on optimal implementation design
  • Assessing product configuration and data sources to identify opportunities to tune / improve data structure and/or marketing activities
  • Acting as a consultation point for the scoping and development of product setups,service and solutions costings and competitive product/solution offerings
  • Acting as a consultation point for the delivery of written proposals
  • Acting as a consultation point presenting back the business value of the GMP offering
  • Aiding the GMP solutions architects with any queries they have with regards to technical implementation / integration of products, future feature rollouts and integrations
  • Auditing the marketing approach in relation to the use of GMP technology
  • Collaborating with training leads on developing training materials

  • Highly polished and on point. Very detail oriented, outstanding at managing both your time and the time of your direct reports, obsessed with accuracy, a strong critical thinker, and able to juggle multiple tasks/clients/emails
  • Excellent at building relationships - a creative problem solver, a customer service expert, a great team player, with the ability to develop those skills in others
  • A strong history as a manager of individuals, a leader of teams, a manager of clients; able to adapt to the mood of the collective, to deliver tough news with sensitivity, and keep a cool head in heated discussions
  • An outstanding communicator, able to write clearly, speak professionally, and teach complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Able to develop the same skills in those reporting to you
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and managing marketing/technology projects from ideation to implementation, to completion
  • A vocal and active leader, able to facilitate meetings large and small - Ad Tech contributions to decision-making are important, you must be able to manage expectations and discussions, especially when presenting recommendations to internal teams or clients
Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in a management or consultation role
  • 4-6 years of experience in digital media is preferred - agency or publisher side. Related fields may include site-side, web, or social analytics management; digital platform support/sales; vendor support/sales or development
  • Education in a field related to one of the agency disciplines: statistics, economics, marketing, business, finance, technology, marketing, computer engineering, web development, mathematics, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels: coach and develop junior team members; support senior team members to the next level; win over clients no matter their title
  • Deep skills in, and a passion for, training and development. You will be expected to do your work, support the team in their work and continued learning, and develop our current staff into the next level of leaders
