Job Description

Key skills: 7 Years plus Subsidence Experience as an Engineer, CEng, MICE, MRICS, MCIOB or Similar, Excellent understanding of Insurance and Insurance liability Detailed knowledge of engineering including H&S.Varied Locations with the posibility of home working.My Client is a rapidly growing business bringing digital technology to the global insurance marketplace. Their technology is deployed in some of the worlds leading insurers globally including UK, USA Europe, etc providing clients with enhanced customer service and productivity. My client is planning substantial expansion over the months and years.They seek experienced Senior Subsidence Engineer to join their Subsidence Claim team.The Engineer will predominantly be desk based, conducting assessments of physical damage to insured properties by way of a desktop validation / livestream link to a field agent on site, in order to determine cause of damage and liability.

Site visits will still be required on a selective basis in the event of sudden damage and or if further information is required.

Report on the findings of any desktop validation / livestream link and / or site visit utilising digital technology, also instructing any further investigations and remedial works / actions required to proactively progress the claim through to settlement.

Undertake any necessary revisits required in order to ensure claims are proactivelyprogressed through to completion.

Ensure work is kept up to date, in accordance with company philosophy, and KPI’s /SLA’s adhered to, delivering excellent customer service to customers, clients and colleagues.

Maintain excellent and proactive communication with all claim parties, including customers, clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Being a team player is vital to this role.

Striving towards continually reducing claim cycle times through effective technical input at all stages of the claim.

Play an active part in the training and support provision of team members.

Identify improvements to process and system through normal day to day engineering, supporting the implementation of changes to further enhance technical claims management delivery and customer / client experience.

You will need:

CEng, MICE, MRICS, MCIOB designation or equivalent

Over 10 years’ experience in a similar position

Excellent technical knowledge of subsidence

Excellent knowledge of insurance and understanding of insurance liability

Detailed engineering knowledge, including health and safety aspects

High level of written and verbal communication in English required, to provide effective communication.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly word and excel)

Circa £40k - £50k + Car Allowance, Non-Contributory Pension, Private Med + BensKey skills: Claims Handler Team Leader, Good knowledge of Subsidence, 2 years plus experience, CII Cert (Nice to Have), SME sized friendly growing company not a large corporate environment. Required skills
