Job Description

Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working on a retained basis with one of our high-profile clients to appoint a Quality & Environmental Manager on a permanent basis.Job title: Quality & Environmental ManagerSalary: Dependent on experience + Car / Car AllowanceLocation: East MidlandsType: PermanentOverview of the role:To ensure that the product or service my client provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.Duties are but not limited to:

  • To coordinate the activities required to meet quality & environmental standards.
  • To monitor and advise on the performance of the quality and environmental management system, produce data and reports on the performance, measuring against set indicators.
  • Measure, monitor and report on environmental performance
  • Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the Quality & Environmental management system is functioning properly.
  • Review existing procedures, working instructions and ensure that they are communicated and utilized to meet internal and external requirements
  • Promote Quality Management across the business through training and support.
  • Establish and maintain a regular system of internal HSEQ auditing at both customer sites and internally.
  • Manage, plan and support the ISO Audit program British Isles, to ensure continuous improvement in ISO9001, 14001, 45001
  • To set QA & E compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
  • Assess product specifications, its suppliers and compare with customer requirements.
  • To work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislations.
  • Agree standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  • Support technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.
  • Write technical and management systems reports.
  • Bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
  • Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate Q&E methods.
  • Liaise with customers auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers specifications.
  • Establish standards of service for customers or clients.
  • Prepare clear explanatory documents such as customers charters.
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing reports.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable quality and environmental management experience
  • Environmental Management qualification would be beneficial
  • Experience of General Health and Safety systems.
  • Experienced Lead Auditor in ISO9001 &14001
  • Experienced in Non-conformance, action planning and RCA investigations
  • Confident with MS Office
