Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours per week)The NSG Group is a global leader in glass manufacturing in three business areas: Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass.Our mission is to be the global leader in innovative high-performance glass and glazing solutions, working safely and ethically.We are now looking for a Patent Administrator or Patent Paralegal (according to experience) within the Intellectual Property team. This role is primarily concerned with executing the legal formalities associated with patents, designs and trademarks.Reporting to the European IP Group Manager, some of the duties of the role will include the following: preparing and arranging for the execution of legal and official documents necessary for IP Prosecution including Powers of Attorney, Assignments, Notarisationsand Legalisations; instructing and coordinating the filing of foreign patent applications and the validation of European Patents; the preparation of Official Forms required by the UK and European Patent Office for filing domestic and International patent applicationsusing dedicated software and online services; the preparation, filing and registration of new trademarks; managing and updating records for renewal fees and administering NSG IP Agreements, preparation of extensions and maintaining the agreement database.Depending on experience, the role may also require you to attend to a variety of other formalities activities as may be reasonably requested by the European IP Group Manager from time to time in support of the IP team.Were ideally looking for someone who has completed the course leading to a professional qualification in Patent Administration from the Chartered Institute of Patents Attorneys or who is willing to undergo training to achieve this qualification. Youllbe keen to acquire detailed knowledge of all aspects of Intellectual Property formalities performed within the IP formalities team and have a good attention to detail, taking personal responsibility and ownership of tasks to achieve results and objectives.Wed also like you to have a strong customer focus, actively seeking to understand internal and external customer circumstances, problems and needs, and be a good team player who builds trust to develop enduring working relationships with others.Benefits
