CK Technical are recruiting for a Lead Technologist to join a company in the glass industry at their site based in Lathom on a permanent basis.The Company:Our client is synonymous with technical excellence and service in the glass industry. They are leaders in architectural, automotive and technical glass manufacturing. Salary:Up to £40,000 per annumLocation:This role is located in Lathom, Lancashire and is easily commutable from cities in the Northwest such as Liverpool, Manchester and Preston Lead Technologist Role:Your main duties will be:- Covering both project work and technical support activities.- Provide expertise in materials testing, analysis and fractography.- Lead experimental and numerical stress analysis through extensive use of FEA.Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have- Extensive experience in finite element analysis.- Advanced knowledge of Abaqus FEA software.- Further experience in CAD packages such as CATIA and Hyperworks.- Programming skills using Visual Basic (MS Excel) and Python.- Exposure to glass manufacturing in the automotive or architectural industries would be highly beneficial.A full, UK drivers license is essential for this role due to the clients location and customer facing nature of the role.Benefits:There is a good potential for overseas working and eligibility for a management car subsidy.Quote job ref 47900It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.TECHGEN
