Job Description

A client within the Private Sector based in Merseyside is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working withinthe private or public sector within a maintenance environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to assist to estimate costs, material quantities and project timelines. Key part of the role will be to liaise with a range of other teams working on the project, helping it to stay on track.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Issuing of sub-contractor tender enquiries
  • Evaluation of sub-contractor quotations
  • Convening and attending sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetings
  • Preparing formal sub-contract Agreements
  • Site measurement of building works undertaken
The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require previous experience within commercial management running several jobs at the same time of value between 500k to 2 million.The below skills would be essential for the role:
  • Previous experience working in Social Housing & Maintenance Environment
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation and contract law
  • Understanding of local government and legislation in relation to construction and subcontractors
