Kingsley are partnered with a well-respected building services and construction company who are looking to expand. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join their team as an Estimator. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Estimator,contributing your expertise to prepare accurate estimates and collaborate with stakeholders. If youre ready to take your estimating career to the next level, we encourageyou to apply and be part of our mission to deliver excellence in the construction industry.Key Responsibilities:-Analyse tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and scope of works.-Conduct take-offs and quantify construction works from tender drawings and specifications to identify materials, labour, and equipment requirements while ensuring all relevant details are considered.-Prepare and issue supply chain inquiries.-Chase and gather quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.-Perform analysis of return quotations and identify the most suitable solutions.-Collaborate with project managers, buyers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies.-Maintain accurate records of all estimates, correspondence, and project-related documents.-Attend preconstruction meetings to provide support to the delivery team in explaining the estimating theory and assumptions.-Support the commercial team with any other estimating duties to ensure a quality, competitive, and compliant bid is submitted.Skills & Experience:-Previous experience in an estimating role.-Knowledge of the construction industry and a good understanding of the estimating process.-Proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Excel.-Strong telephone skills, including a confident and professional phone manner.-Ability to produce accurate work.-Possession of a full driving license and access to your method of transport (preferable).-Willingness to learn and desire to develop and progress.-Flexibility with working hours to meet deadlines as and when required.-Strong numeracy skills with a strong attention to detail.-Ability to remain focused in a fast-moving environment.-Proactive, personable, and an excellent communicator.-Initiative and a common-sense approach.Remuneration:Salary: £NEG (DOE) Location: Merseyside, Liverpool Benefits: Car/ allowance, Pension, Life Assurance, 25days holiday + Bank holidays.Diversity & Inclusion Kingsley Consulting operates an inclusive and diverse recruitment process, whilst also ensuring our clients do the same and provide any advice or education to them in relation to this.
