Well enable you to enhance your existing skillsand develop expertise within the marine sector to support future growth and development.So, if you are keen to step into a key financial support role and want to utilise your skills within a flexible, friendly environment, this is the role youve been waiting for, apply today.What will I be doingAs an Accounts Assistant, you will be tasked with supporting our accounting function and helping to ensure healthy finance and cash flow.Specifically, the headline responsibilities for your role will be bank and cash reconciliations and sales ledger management including credit control. You may also be involved in processing supplier payments.Youll be playing an active role across our financial activities, supporting the Finance Manager and providing additional administrative support as required.Your role will also involve:- Banking activities including posting receipts to ledgers, reconciliations and managing cash and card receipts- End of Day and till reconciliation- Credit control including chasing debt and sending customer statements- Supporting the running of the office- Handling customer queries- Running reports, monitoring discrepancies and reviewing the sales and purchase ledgersWhat do I needTo be considered as an Accounts Assistant, you will need:- Experience gained within a formal accounts setting either in practice or industry in a role such as accounts assistant, ledger clerk, finance administrator or similar- To possess an AAT qualification or be qualified by experience (QBE) with demonstrable equivalent skills- To be highly organised, persistent and thorough- To be able to describe yourself as a completer/finisher for any tasks you are set- To be personable, well presented and an effective communicator- A conscientious approach with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyPlease note, we are also eager to hear from those who have completed an accountancy apprenticeship and are looking to gain more experience in industry.This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. However, we will consider other working options such as part-time, working 30 or more hours per week.
