Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Lifeways Group is one of the UKs leading providers of support services for adults with learning disabilities, and we have a great opportunity to in our of our services in South Tyneside.Lifeways are looking to recruit a Team Leader to supervise the delivery of this care...McAnany Avenue is a residential service ready to welcome new people and support them in leading an independent life.The four-bedroom detached house has level access. All bedrooms are on the ground floor and have an ensuite with a toilet and a sink. There is a kitchen, an open-plan dining and living room, a laundry room, a conservatory, and two wet room-style bathroomswith a bath and shower. There is also an accessible garden with a patio for people to spend time outdoors when the weather is nice.You will be overseeing the support of Service Users who have Autism, mental health problems, learning disabilities and behaviour that may challenge.

  • Experience of working with these client groups is essential particular experience of working with Service Users with mental health would be an advantage.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care or the will to work towards the qualification or a minimum of 2 years learning disability sector experience is essential
