The Company you will be working for;Our client is an established and successful company based in Jarrow. They are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.The Role you will be doing;
  • Reconcile bank statement
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Reconcile exchange rates for foreign payments
  • Nominal coding of invoices
  • Process staff expenses
  • Credit card payments and purchases
  • Petty cash - issuing and bookkeeping
  • Completing credit application forms with new suppliers
  • Cashing up canteen takings
  • Opening new accounts on the ledger
  • Booking hotels
  • Boardroom booking diary
  • Inputting and scanning of supplier invoices onto our in-house computer system
  • Receiving, inputting and scanning of purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Matching delivery notes and orders to invoices.
  • Booking matched invoices out for authorisation.
  • Booking authorised invoices in and passing them as ready for payment.
  • Contacting suppliers by email and telephone.
  • Resolving queries on invoices and delivery notes.
  • Photocopying and filing.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Other general office duties inc, franking of the post.
