Job Description

Warehouse SupervisorInverkeithingMonday to Friday - 8am-5pmSome weekend work may be required£11-£12 per hour - DOECounterbalance FLT licence requiredFull UK driving licence required***12 weeks temp to perm for the right candidate***An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experience Warehouse supervisor to join our client in Inverkeithing. The hours for the role are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend working to meet the demands of the business.Our client is a nationwide provider of office furniture installations, commercial relocations and ethical disposal services.Main Duties

  • To maintain the warehouse environment ensuring it is kept in a controlled and orderly and tidy manor.
  • To receive inbound client goods, ensuring their condition and quantities are thoroughly check before that are stowed away.
  • Note and report any damaged goods received.
  • Pick and prepare goods for re-delivery.
  • Supervise the warehouse during loading to ensure staff are completing their tasks as instructed.
  • Supervise personnel working in the warehouse.
  • Always ensure safe working and intervene if you witness any unsafe activities.
  • Daily safety checks on forklift truck and other handling equipment.
  • Stow transit orders and client stock in a safe and professional manner.
  • Preparation of client stock lists (First Draft)
  • Liaise with customer Service supervisor to co-ordinate the preparation of order for delivery prior to loading.
  • Supervise loading of vehicles.
  • Maintain stock levels of packing materials, hardboard, and other protective materials.
The key skills required for this position are.
  • Have a good level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre loads.
  • Be always polite and courteous to customers and work colleagues.
  • Have good organisational skills.
· Ensure that you act in an appropriate manner to give visitors and clients the correct impression of a quality organisation.· Ensure that company property is maintained at the highest level and faults and defects are promptly reported to your line Manager.· Ensure you always give clients and visitors the correct impression of a quality organisation. To further this aim, it is essential that company property under your control is maintained at the highest level. You need to be aware of your obligations underthe health and safety at work act of 1974 and report any faults or defects promptly to your health and safety representative or Operations Manager.
  • Have a Counterbalance forklift licence.
  • Full clean driving Licence
  • Industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an excellent level of communication.
  • Be able to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Have some experience with Microsoft packages.
  • Lifting heavy loads manually
