JG174 - Grounds Maintenance OperativeLocation: InverkeithingSalary: £24,000Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative on behalf of one of our clients.Plays an important part in providing general maintenance, such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves, verges and litter services in the Inverkeithing area.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

Horticulture activities such as planting, pruning and seeding.
Erecting and dismantling equipment.
Setting out, making sports pitches including grass and tarmac surfaces.
Upkeep of artificial and synthetic pitches.
Tree care.
Undertaking vehicle, tractor and cutting equipment checks.
Weather dependant, carrying out site gritting and snow clearing activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Full driving licence preferably with some trailer pulling experience.
General experience of grounds maintenance type duties.
Basic knowledge of gardening and horticulture.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have experience in the use of ride on mower equipment to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential and training will be provided.
