Job Description

Management Accountant - Ibstock - £40,000 paIts been an exciting time of change for our client in recent years. In addition to successfully adapting to cope with the global pandemic, theyve enjoyed a change of ownership, a business restructure and all whilst continuing to go from strength to strength.Positioning themselves as one of the market leading players in their chosen field.To further strengthen that position, they are now seeking to onboard additional expertise to their Management accounting team.So whats involved in the roleReporting to the Head of Management Accounting, youll work alongside a team of management accountants collectively providing the business with first-class accounting support through the provision of timely and accurate business information. Adopting responsibilityfor certain cost centres you will:

  • Produce accurate and timely Monthly Management Accounts including any analysis and commentary on any variances
  • Produce monthly performance reviews with various internal stakeholders to aid financial decisions
  • Production of quarterly forecasting and annual budgets
  • Ensure the Balance sheet are reconciled
  • Inter-company Accounting
  • Contribute to the ongoing process of maximising efficiencies through process improvements
About youIf youre wondering if you need qualifications, its not the most important attribute on our clients wish list. Of course, if youre working towards an accountancy qualification such as CIMA/ACCA you are encouraged to apply. T o be considered, you willneed to have a min of 12 - 18 months demonstrable experience of working in a Management Accounting position, ideally in a fast paced organisation with significant exposure to stakeholder relationship management.Training can be offered on their Accounting systems but you will need to have a strong understanding of MS Excel (Min Pivot/Lookup ability).
