Job Description

HR and Recruitment GeneralistBasic salary £35,000 + bonus + benefitsBased in IbstockMy client is experiencing outstanding growth and as such they are looking for an HR generalist who can focus on creating and managing a recruitment strategy as well as onboarding and general HR functions. Its a great opportunity for someone who is hands on,but also enjoys putting processes in place and working with the management team to help with staff retention and support.   • Youll be designing and implementing the overall recruitment strategy for the business and sourcing and attracting suitable candidates using a range of methods.
  • The role will also include conducting interviews and filtering suitable candidates and developing and updating job descriptions and specifications.
  • Youll also be responsible for ensuring effective onboarding and induction processes are carried out throughout the business by developing and delivering an induction programme for all new employees.
HR
  • Youll be advising on general HR matters, including reviewing and developing HR Policies and Procedures and providing advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
  • Part of the role includes assisting with disciplinary, grievance, capability and sickness hearings, as necessary
  • Youll also be responsible for managing and maintaining contracts of employment, personnel files and the companys HR database.
  • Youll also be co-ordinating and administering training and development programmes and liaising with external training bodies as required.
The Person:
  • Were looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years in a HR role with specific experience in sourcing and recruiting candidates across a range of roles.
  • Youll have strong knowledge of employment law and be comfortable developing and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship skills - ability to establish rapport, credibility and trust with employees at all levels.
  • Ideally youll have a CIPD accreditation and be comfortable working as the key HR/recruitment person within the business and able to do your own related administration and reporting.
  • Youll be office based in Ibstock for this role so must be able to travel there on a day to day basis.
The Package:
  • A basic salary of £35,000 is offered for this role
  • There is a bonus structure which should add another £5,000 based on performance
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
