Our customer focus is based on quality, service and consistency and our service-led ethos is one of the key drivers in the growth of our market share over the past 10 years.Job Purpose:Plan, regulate and monitor the energy use across Ibstock operationsSupport operational management in the Group on Energy and carbon issues, providing suitable advice, assistance and trainingImprove efficiency by evaluating energy use and putting in place new policies and changes where neededOwn and continuously develop the Energy Management Systems in co-ordination with SHEQ DirectorTo promote and deliver competence training, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, disseminating best practiceCoordinate all aspects of energy management, from reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to waste managementTo work with energy procurement team on cost reduction initiativesTo work with relevant departments on renewables strategy and rolloutKey AccountabilitiesEnergyCarry out site inspections and energy surveysSetting energy-saving processes and goalsDeliver requirements for 500001 Energy Management SystemDevelop, coordinate and implement strategies, policies and guidance to reduce energy consumptionAssist with policies and systems for buying energy and helping with contract negotiationsProvide practical advice and offer training on energy efficiencyDevelop promotional activities and materials to publicise particular schemesKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssentialA thorough knowledge of energy management systemsKnowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical systems and processesExperience in manufacturing industryExperience of working with senior on site managersUnderstanding the mandatory compliance reporting under Energy and CarbonExperience in use of Microsoft Office packagesExcellent numerical skillsKPIsOperational energy efficiencyOperational carbon efficiencyEnergy usage and reportingDont meet every single requirement Studies have shown that some people from minority groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
