Job Description

Do you have the proven ability to motivate and support a team well within a warehouse-style environment Are you wanting to work for a company who pride themselves on their people and excellenceHere at Advanced Supply Chain, we are looking for a Team Managerto join our team in Holmfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,500 per annum.As our Team Manager,you will report directly into our Shift and Operation Managers and will be helping to support them and the wider team by managing the Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives, making sure they remain engaged, organisedand motivated throughout their shift. Our successful Team Manager will be driving and delivering on our expectations, making sure these expectations are met in line with our key performance indicators.At Advanced, we pride ourselves on putting our people first, meaning from the offset as a Team Manager you can expect to be rewarded on your performance, coached, developed, and encouraged by your fellow team members.Your responsibilities as our Team Manager will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the team to help successfully meet customer service level agreements in line with standard operative procedure and safe systems of work
  • Ensuring business required KPIs are achieved within set time frames and the shift staffing is always managed effectively around this by planning ahead
  • Being proactive and consistent with supporting your teams in their performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures
  • Planning development and skills training interventions, including cross-training with other departments
  • Offering support to the management team across the operation daily, by using business improvement tools
  • Overseeing query stock resolving issues through to conclusion

  • Previous and proven experience in a logistics distribution working environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the use of warehouse management systems
  • Good people management, leadership & influential skills
  • A positive attitude towards health and safety excellence
