Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs Do you have experience in working with young people with severe learning difficulties If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are looking for SEN teaching assistants to join our amazing school in Stanstead Abbots. We cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 years old with a range of complex needs. Our school is on a real growth and we are looking for dedicated and compassionatestaff to help us provide the best education possible for our students.As a SEN teaching assistant, you will work in a small class of 8 pupils with 4 members of staff. You will assist the teacher in delivering engaging and individualised lessons, as well as supporting the pupils with their personal care, communication and socialskills. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various activities and outings with the pupils, such as swimming, horse riding and sensory play.To be considered for this role, it would be preferred if you have:- A relevant qualification in childcare, education or health and social care (NVQ level 2 or above)- Experience in working with children or young adults with special needs or a care background- A positive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people- An enhanced DBS check (we can assist you with this)Experience within a school or care background is not neccesarily needed, they are just looking for passionate people to come in and make a difference to these kids lives.If you are interested in joining our friendly and supportive team, please send us an email to or give us a call on and we can discuss the role in further detail.
