By sustaining and engaging new audiences,you will help raise the profile of the National Park Authoritys work and encourage others to care about the beauty, biodiversity and cultural heritage of the North York Moors.So, if this seems like your calling, keep reading and discover more about how you can help us tell the stories from this stunning jewel of Englands North.The roleAs the Content Manager, you will work as part of a team to raise the profile of the North York Moors, its National Park and the Authoritys work. Specifically, you will co-ordinate and deliver effective communications to a wide range of audiences.Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will develop and manage a content strategy and editorial calendar, as well as curating stories from across the Authority.You will co-ordinate a team involved in content creation to disseminate high-quality content through a variety of off- and online channels.Your role will also involve:- Monitoring the performance of content through Google Analytics- Leading on the production of our Out and About magazine and other core publications- Providing a copywriting, proofreading and advisory service for the AuthorityAbout youTo be considered as our Content Manager, you will need:- At least three years relevant experience- Excellent communication, interpersonal, creative writing and proofreading skills and an understanding of accessibility requirements- Enthusiasm for, and practical experience of, interpretive and/or inspirational content writing- Previous experience managing the production of publications- Experience using social media for effective publicity across different platforms and devices- Demonstrable experience using analytical tools relevant to web and social media platforms- Knowledge of current developments in digital communications- An understanding of current issues facing rural areas- To be educated to degree level in a relevant subject- A full, valid driving licence- Industry-standard front-end web development skills are essential.Membership of a relevant professional association would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of the North York Moors and surrounding areas.Please note, this role will require working occasional weekends and working alone in the countryside, as necessary.The closing date for this role is midnight 10 February 2022.Other organisations may call this role Digital Content Manager, Copywriting Manager, Communications Manager, Content Development Manager, Content Marketing Manager, Editorial Manager, or Editorial Specialist.Webrecruit and North York Moors National Park Authority are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
