Job Description

A growing business that operates a variety of businesses in the hospitality sector based in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium is now looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. Along with a salary of up to £52,000per annum, you will also receive staff discounts, discretionary bonus, onsite parking and other benefits.Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role is varied, you will be involved in all aspects of management accounting in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. Your ideas and suggestions to identify and implement changes to systems and improve efficiencieswill allow you to make a difference to the finance function.As Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Posting of intercompany recharges at period end
Preparation of the accruals and prepayment schedules
Cost of sales calculation and posting adjustments at each period end
Analysing, stock results and reports following stock takes at units
Analysis of P&Ls at period end and preparation of the management accounts packs as necessary
Liaising with operation/unit managers with queries on P&Ls
Balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts
Beer Duty and MGD return preparation and submission
Preparation and assisting with the compilation of the annual budgets
Preparation and assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and their supporting schedules

To be a successful Management Accountant you will have the following skills and experience:

Qualified or qualified by experience
IT skills - Excel, email, accounting systems, transaction processing.
SUN v6 experience is desirable
A thorough knowledge of Double Entry Book-keeping
Clear and effective communications skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Clear and logical thinking with good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
A professional accounting qualification ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA or similar level
