Job Description

A growing business that operates a variety of businesses in the hospitality sector based in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium is now looking to recruit an assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. Along with a salary of up to £41,000,you will also receive staff discounts, discretionary bonus, onsite parking and other benefits.Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role is varied, you will be involved in all aspects of management accounting in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Your ideas and suggestions to identify and implement changes to systems and improve efficiencieswill allow you to make a difference to the finance function and gain practical experience to support your professional qualificationsAs an Assistant Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Posting of intercompany recharges at period end
Preparing the accruals and prepayment schedules
Cost of sales calculation and posting adjustments at each period end
Analysing, stock results and reports following stock takes at units
Analysis of P&Ls at period end and preparation of the management accounts packs as necessary
Liaising with operation/unit managers with queries on P&Ls
Balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts
Beer Duty and MGD returns preparation and submission
Assisting with the preparation of the annual budgets
Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and supporting schedules

To be a successful Assistant Management Accountant you will have the following skills and experience:

Part-Qualified / Finalists or Similar level
IT skills - Excel, email, accounting systems, transaction processing.
SUN v6 experience is desirable
A good understanding of Double Entry Book-keeping
Clear and effective communications skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Clear and logical thinking with good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
Studying towards a professional accounting qualification AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA or similar
