Job Description

Project Manager (Building Refurbishment) - Hybrid WorkingSalary circa £40,000 - £50,000 per annum with Individual and Company Bonus SchemesRemote/Hybrid - Regional office locations availableFull Time - Flexible hours available and the option to work from homeParkwood Project Management (PPM) is a property services consultancy that provides a range of services in the areas of project management, building surveying and asset management predominantly within the sports, leisure and hospitality sectors. PPM is partof the Parkwood Group of companies which also includes Parkwood Leisure, a specialist leisure services provider. PPM works closely with its partner organisation to provide expertise and intuitive solutions to deliver high quality leisure solutions.Following a period of significant growth and the continuing success of our long term building management contracts we are on the lookout for ambitious Project Managers/Surveyors to join our growing team. PPM has a robust order book of exciting building construction,renovation and improvement projects in various locations across the UK. This is a new role and a chance for you to be part of an expanding organisation where ambitious and passionate individuals are given the opportunity to develop under the support of anexperienced senior management team.Incorporating elements of Surveying and Project Management this is the perfect role for a rounded construction professional with a building surveying, construction management or construction consultancy background. Uniquely this role will allow you to influencedesign decisions throughout the construction process. Projects are primarily based within the leisure and hospitality sectors.What youll do

  • Completing building surveys and provide advice on design, construction, repair and refurbishment
  • Establish the project brief, development of designs and specification for works, undertake tendering processes and appointment of designers and contractors
  • To design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards
  • Complete project inspections at key stages
  • Inspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
  • Inspections to involve acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations
  • To prepare reports, schedule of works and works specifications
  • To design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.
  • Undertake medium value construction and building refurbishment projects independently with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
  • To understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, , building regulations and planning.
  • At all times to comply with the requirements of the Companys administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations
  • Projects range from £10k - £500K
You have
  • MRICS Accredited (other similar Accreditations will be considered) or working towards Accreditation preferred but not essential
  • Experience of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements and technical publications.
  • Experienced in Defect Diagnosis and report writing
