They are seekinga CNC Machinist on a Day Shift basis, working a four-day week, Monday to Thursday, 0600 to 1600hrs.Commutable from: Rugby, Daventry, Coventry, Lutterworth, SouthamSalary: £ 25,451 to £ 34,577 p.a. + Excellent Benefits including pension and monthly bonusThe RoleTechnoset based in Rugby, Warwickshire is seeking a CNC Machinist on the Day Shift, working Monday to Thursday, 0600-1600 hrsThe role of CNC Machinist is a permanent position offering excellent training and career progression in addition to an exciting volume of new and existing projects. The role is focused on operating and setting machining centres for precision engineered componentsfor the aerospace, automotive, communications infrastructure and defence sectors.The CNC Machinist will operate Fixed Head CNC machines typically on Fanuc controls and supporting basic measurement of parts using manual and CMM tools including the latest Mitutoyo and Aberlink measurement equipment.The PersonThe successful applicant for the position of CNC Machinist will possess ideally a time-served engineering background, and if possible a recognised apprenticeship in engineering. You will be able to operate CNC turning centres and be able to carry out manualinspection of parts and some basic CMM operation. Previous experience with Fanuc systems is highly advantageous for the role.Any prior exposure to fine tolerance parts in a range of materials including steels and alloys is highly valuable for the position of CNC MachinistThe ability to read and interpret a technical drawing is essential for role.The interview process will involve a site tour and brief technical test, alongside a face-to-face meeting to discuss the position.
