Job Description

Weybridge/Field BasedFull Time PermanentWe are currently looking for a Sales Controller to join our growing Functional Ingredients team and act as a key member of the Leadership Team. Functional Ingredients is an exciting, heavily invested, growth driving area for both Saputo Dairy UK and Saputo globally. Over the next 5 years this team will deliver both growth in the existing portfolio and will also redefine the role of added value Ingredients in the Saputo Global business through exciting NPD delivery, Customer, and route to market development.YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Working with the Head of Sales and Marketing to develop,negotiate,and deliver the annual business plans in line with the agreed SDUK strategy.
  • Accelerating and encouraging the development of the growth and success of Functional Ingredients category through the delivery of an annual set of customer plans that satisfy the strategic goals and in-year delivery.
  • Providing excellent client relationships and account service levels by tracking, measuring, and analysing commercial metrics. This will include forecasting and product administration.
  • Working collaboratively with sales partners to manage the delivery of the integrated sales plan. Working both with Sales Partners and owning the SDUK relationship with each of the 20 customers they supply on our behalf.
  • Identifying and developing new sales opportunities and new routes to market and onboarding and developing new Key Global accounts.
  • Owning effective cross-functional business relationships at all levels to enable the successful delivery of the Functional Ingredients category plans. This will require actively influencing the wider Demand, Finance & Supply Chain teams.
  • Leading the transition to Functional ingredients new Strategic Model both in terms of Product Portfolio, Route to Market and Customer Mix.
  • YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
  • An experienced account manager with a proven understanding of dairy technology, manufacturing processes and the market.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably within a scientific area.
  • Able to demonstrate in-depth industry knowledge, with appreciation of structures, key relationships, strategic direction, and changing/future trends.
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering business plans based on consumer & category insight in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experienced in identifying opportunities and winning new business including the delivery of NPD and/or new routes to market.
  • An experienced negotiator with strong influencing and impact skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial & business acumen with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels within and outside of SDUK.
  • Strong analytically with ability to analyse data and interrogate market research principles and practices converting these into creative recommendations that deliver both in year performance and inform future business growth.
