Job Description

As a Pricing Analyst you will provide support to the business for circa 55,000 product lines across multiple markets around the globe in order to drive revenue growth and deliver against annual budgets using a data-driven approach. The Pricing Analyst will work within the Pricing Team and collaboratively across group functions such as Product Management, Purchasing and local market Managing Directors for all pricing actions. Analysis and reporting on the results of pricing decisions vs market reactions using multiple sources, including but not limited to our dedicated pricing software and BI tools. The role will suit someone with skills of data analysis coupled with a strong business acumen. Key Responsibilities/Tasks: The Pricing Analyst role includes but it is not limited to:Data Management

  • Effective management of pricing related data and reporting
  • Interrogating multiple systems and cross checking to ensure data is valid
  • Ensuring the quality of data used in pricing is appropriate and at correct level
  • Working closely with IT team to communicate required updates to data
Pricing
  • Working in conjunction with Global Sales teams, MD’s, Purchasing and the Product Management team to analyse pricing opportunities, build business cases and communicate those within the business for approval
  • Help to develop processes (automated where possible) to support optimised price point recommendations for both existing and new products, utilising both existing and new systems
  • Building and developing robust data sets, models and tools for tactical and strategic purposes
  • Reporting of market reactions and key performance indicators to assist further actions and progress
  • Providing support and guidance to other team members for implementation of market level price increase / decrease activity
Essential skills/experience::
  • Previous work experience within a process driven, data based role, demonstrating business acumen
  • Data manipulation / management skills – experience analysing large, complex data sets
  • Proven track record of building and developing robust data sets, models and tools for tactical and strategic purposes
  • Ability to asses and form reasoned, rational judgments from data gathered and presented
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and simple format
  • Ability to operate effectively with multiple data owners across different departments / organisations
  • ‘A’ Level qualified or higher with suitable business experience
  • Advanced user of MS Excel and data/BI systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively whilst building relations across networks
  • Results-driven and self-motivated attitude.
Desirable skills/experience:
  • Previous experience / knowledge with SQL / T-SQL querying & data structure
  • Previous pricing experience in a commercial environment
  • Ability to make effective decisions and adjustments when required
  • Experienced in online data collection or automation using APIs or programming skills such Python
Hours of work:37.5 p.w., Monday to Friday,Employee package consists of:
