Maintenance TechnicianExeter39 hours per weekMonday to Friday£32k - £33kThe CompanyA producer of engineered components supplying machinery manufacturers and distributors globally. What is the purpose of the Maintenance Technician roleTo provide maintenance and support to Production and Site facilities following leadership and direction from the Head of Maintenance.What will be the responsibilities of the Maintenance TechnicianKeep production machinery and plant running, where applicableCarry out planned and preventative maintenanceCarry out electrical testing to a safe standard on componentsEnsure repairs are done to a high standard and report whether further action is neededLiaise, host and support external contractors, where necessaryReport site facility status and ensure tasks relating to site repairs are completed to the required standardMaintain relevant logs and paperworkAssist in tooling inventory, where applicablePositively commit to and undertake any agreed training programComply with all company rules, including those regarding Health and Safety (e.g. constant use of protective equipment)Any other reasonable duties as directed by your line managerWhat skills and experience will the Maintenance Technician have* Knowledge of working principles of CNC lathes and mills along with various manual machine tools.* Excellent working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems found in industrial machines.* Ability to read industrial electrical drawings.* Ability to interpret ladder diagrams of PLCs (not essential).* Be autonomous after initial direction, with good communication skills.* Taking pride in presentation in work and assembly.* Computer literate with basic grasp of word, excel and PDF documents.* A Qualified time served Electrician with an excellent grasp of Mechanical disciplines (Required)* Experience of HV machineryWhat will the you get in return£32k - £33k25 days holiday plus bank holidays6% contributory pensionSubsidised medical insuranceLife InsuranceCycle to work schemeCompany profit share after 2 yearsStaff discount1pm Friday finish
