About the roleAre you experienced in CAD and looking for your next opportunityWe arecurrently recruiting for a new CAD Space Plannerfor either our Wellingborough, Eccles or DerbySupport Centre. Alternative locations will also be considered depending on experience.Within this role you will utilise resources and apply technical expertise to support multiple internal and external stakeholders, generating layout proposals for project works within the Groups’ nationwide estate portfolio.This role comes with a car allowance to help support you in travelling to Branches, which is required from time to time.There will be a requirement for you to spend some time at our Derby branch during your induction period to support with training. This will be discussed further at interview stage.Role Responsibility

• Creating layout solutions in AutoCAD to meet project needs by interpreting the brief.
• General space planning (racking & display material, plant, facilities, site and services) macro planning of merchandise as well as health & safety and security aspects.
• Proactivelyengaging with other internal departments and specialist contractors to obtain additional required information and draw on their expertise.
• Assisting in maintaining Standard Detail drawings as a reference library.
• Working with others to ensure proposals comply with Building Regs, legal requirements and other relevant regulations.
• Creatingdiagrams and information to assists Legal dept with licencing applications.
• UsingExcel to allocate merchandising space,based on standard product flows to a macro level.
• Occasional attendance on site for briefings and surveys as project and workload dictates.
• Distributingdrawings to relevant parties and gain feedback where require to update accordingly.
• Prioritisingand promptly resolvingtechnical issues and queries.
• Completingdrawing revisions through to As Built status upon project completion by obtaining information from relevant parties.
• Supporting with branch, colleague and contractor requests.

You will need

• Previous and in depth workingknowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good Excel skills to Macro level.
• Ability to conduct site surveysto check building and fixture layout against library drawing.
• Valid Full UK Driving Licence.
• Attention to detail.
• Maintain a consistent approach and presentation.
• Work under own initiative and be self sufficient.
• Persistence to refine and improve solutions to optimal level to achieve project deliverables.
• Able to adapt quickly to change depending on project and workload requirements.
• Excellent in building positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Good technical trouble shooting and analytical skills.
