Job Description

Join Close Brothers FP&A Team as an FP&A Analyst where you will assist the FP&A Manager in supporting the CEO of Specialist Asset Finance (SAF), the business MDs and heads of product of the constituent businesses in developing and achieving their financialobjectives. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of all aspects of financial planning and forecasting for SAF including long range plans, annual budget setting, periodic forecasts and associated ICAAP based stress testing
  • Review and strengthen existing processes and financial models to improve the value of outputs and ensure their robustness
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs and board presentations outlining key financial performance metrics
  • Provide timely commentary and variance analysis to support business leaders in understanding their financial performance against budgets and forecasts including business level analysis (i.e. Core leasing, Green energy, Contract hire, Football, PCH)
  • Prepare pricing and return on equity requests for large, complex deal transactions
  • Support the FP&A Manager, AF&L Finance Director and divisional CEO with adhoc analysis on topical issues
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • Studying towards or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player committed to ensuring that the overall team objectives are met
  • Experience of delivering effective reporting under tight deadlines
  • Experience of collaborating with others across functional and geographic boundaries
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Solid relevant accounting experience and technical knowledge
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, notably Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of business partnering or FP&A activities
  • Experience of financial modelling of structured project finance and intermediary led products
