Job Description

Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance & Leasing (CBAFL) team where you will deliver important business initiatives across the Commercial Division. This is a broad role with high visibility at a senior level, so is perfect for an individual who is looking tomake an impact quickly and can work effectively alone. Strong stakeholder management skills are required as the role will be engaging with teams across Commercial and the wider Bank. Hybrid based, this role will have exposure to work from many of our CBAFL offices, mainly based out of Manchester, Burton, Chesteror Wimbledon where our main operation hubs are. To be successful in the role, the candidate will need to develop a deep understanding of key areas of the CBAFL business, its products, and processes. We are looking for a self-starter who is results orientated and can take ownership of ideas from inceptionto implementation. Strong analytical and time management skills will be the key to success in this role. RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Initiatives

  • Involved in the creation and management of strategic and operational planning for CBAFL, including managing business priorities and backlog of activities.
  • Responsible for planning, oversight and delivery of strategic and other business initiatives or projects, to ensure they achieve their goals and deliver their planned benefits.
  • Delivery of operational excellence initiatives including enhancing ways of working and helping to drive a problem-solving culture across teams.
  • Monitor timelines and progress of activities and actions to achieve project milestones.
  • Work with across CBAFL business units and functions to ensure business initiatives are delivered effectively.
  • Define and agree roles and responsibilities and governance mechanisms for new initiatives and changes to existing processes.
  • Identify and make recommendations for new business initiatives.
Product
  • Work with business stakeholders to support proposition design, approval and delivery in line with the Product and Services standards, ensuring product adherence to governance standards.
Data Analysis
  • Perform analysis on target processes to isolate problem areas, to define and implement the key opportunities for change.
  • Utilise data and data analysis techniques to drive informed decision making.
  • Summarise the findings and insight from data analysis in reporting for senior management.
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
  • Work with the management team to effectively track and report on any risk events, including assisting with the risk management process.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
  • You have excellent organisation and team collaboration skills.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to analyse, manipulate and present insights from a range of data sources.
  • You have the ability to plan, manage and prioritise a high volume of work requests, working to tight timescales whilst maintaining quality.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have experience in working for a consulting organisation to deliver operational and non-technology change
  • Have excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Have experience of creating suites of management information and easy to understand dashboards.
