Job Description

PurposeTo develop new systems and/or modify existing systems in line with the business requirements, within the agreed timescales. Providing analysis of current process and proposing workable solutions based around the AS400/System21ERP software. This role willprovide support and training to enable best use of current and newly delivered software.Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the companies ERP and in-house developed bespoke systems
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users, to identify issues, define system requirements, and resolve systems issues.
  • To provide support to all departments with issues relating to business processes and IT Systems
  • To identify problems or areas for improvements, implementing automated processes where appropriate
  • To ensure all development is carried out, tested and released, in line with compliance rules (SOX).
  • To provide EDI support and solutions. Working with external customers, to streamline the ordering process and provide accurate order schedules.
  • To provide ad hoc reports from IT systems to aid decision making throughout the Company
  • To assist in monitoring the performance of the IBM POWER7 system and perform regular backups
  • Work with partners and consultants, where appropriate, to deliver timely and cost effective solutions.
  • Provide support for system interfaces to ERP systems
  • Work with current and new IT Tools to deliver systems and solutions to meet business goals and support business functions.
  • To contribute and support the regular IT processes throughout the year e.g. DR Testing, stock take, month end.
