Job Description

Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.Salary: £21,021.00 FTE or £10.78 per hourContract/duration: PermanentHours/working pattern: 300 hours per year (40 days) 9.30am - 5.30pm Feb to Oct and 9.30am - 4.30pm Nov to Feb. Mainly weekend, bank holidays and school holidays but with opportunities to cover annual leave and sickness throughout the year.This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. What its like to work here Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of Welcome & Service Assistants, Car Park Assistants, welcome volunteers and bus driver volunteers working at Dyrham Park which is near Bath and Bristol. Visitor Reception is based at the entranceto the estate and where we welcome all our visitors, help facilitate a smooth visit, answer and queries they may have and resolve any issue that may come about. As part of the Welcome & Service Team we are also responsible for fundraising through our GrowingSupport activities, which include membership sales, gift aid on entry and promoting other fundraising opportunities across the property and wider portfolio which includes Prior Park Landscape Garden, Bath Assembly Rooms and Bath Skyline. The 17th century houseand formal gardens at Dyrham is set in 270 acres of parkland. The wider property team offer various events and activities through the year including walks, trails, family activities and outdoor theatre. The Welcome & Service Team are responsible in part forpromoting this to our visitors and encouraging repeat visits through informed conversations. What youll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information.Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can andthat they leave wanting to return.You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the property - no two days are the same.Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide.This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service.
