Summary Join a dedicated team of collections conservation staff and volunteers who care for a large collection in a busy house. Open all year round, you will lead the team who look after the interiors and contents, making sure we maintain museum standards of conservationcleaning and collections management.This role is to cover Maternity leave and will start around October 2023. New initiatives such as a representation project will improve the visitor experience and make the property a major attraction in the South West.This is an exciting time for Dyrham Park and the team is looking for engaging customer-focused people who will bring energy and ideas to this vibrant property.For more information about our property please visit dyrham-park What youll be doing Managing the budgets and compliance for the house team, leading on remedial and preventive conservation activities, ensuring high standards of presentation, collaborating with the property leadership team on service standards, staff and volunteer training,access for events and programming and fundraising activities. Ensuring the house team remain motivated and supported during the year, and reporting to the Property Curator. Who were looking for We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to help staff and volunteers perform at their best.
A strong understanding of collections care and conservation and Museum Accreditation standards.
Proven operational experience in collections management and care in a museum or historic house.
Track record of managing budgets and projects.
Able to work regular weekends throughout the year.
Be well organised and able to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Good knowledge of health and safety and delivering emergency procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and confident in leading tours and public presentations.
