Job Description

My client, based in Dursley, is looking for a Test Technician to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.You will mainly be responsible for the testing and technical aspects of electrical and electronic engineering in relation to the products manufactured by my client.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out functional testing of electronic hardware including PCB boards and electromechanical assemblies
  • Performing functional testing on products
  • Carrying out basic de-bugging and fault finding
  • Assisting with the calibration and/or maintenance actions and fault finding of the engineering test equipment
  • First line fault finding on burn-in boards and driver cards
  • Assisting with the design and manufacturing of board test equipment
  • Assisting with inspection of the company’s products
    • SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • GCSEs at grades (A) - (C) (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science
  • Interest in electronics
  • IT literate
  • Practical and technical aptitude with good attention to detail
    • The ideal candidate will have some previous Test Technician experience, however, full training is provided, so this is not essential. However, my client is looking for someone who has experience within electronic assembly.HOURS OF WORK
  • Monday - Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm & Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm
    • RATE OF PAY
  • £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience
