Job Description

Purchase Ledger | Dursley | Permanent | £26,000 - £28,000The CompanyFMCGThe OpportunityThis position is an integral part of the accounts team which will predominantly be responsible for purchase ledger. It will also help in supporting the other areas of the sales ledger, expenses and reporting.Responsibilities

  • Reviewing invoices to ensure that theyre accurate and correctly formatted.
  • Obtaining approvals and processing all purchases invoices.
  • Processing all credit card and expenses claims.
  • Checking all invoices have been posted with correct VAT amounts/groups.
  • Filling invoices electronically.
  • Contact to suppliers to investigate price/quantity/quality queries.
  • Creating manual debit notes for the claims.
  • Reversing and correcting invoice postings.
  • Providing proposed payment values for the future period.
  • Requesting and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Building relations with suppliers by helping with their queries.
  • Opening new supplier accounts to the firms financial database.
  • Maintain accurate details for all suppliers listed on firms financial database.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks like:
  • Contact with landlord and third parties to remedy repairs, maintenance, cleaning of outside yard etc.
    • Liaison with gardener for maintaining outside area.
    • Ordering stationary etc

  • Ability to build good working relationships.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good team player Skills and Knowledge
  • Previous experience in purchase ledger or similar accounting role
  • Computer Literate
