Job Title – Staff Nurse – Band 5Base – Peak View Ward, Vale Community Hospital Salary – £24,907 to £30,615 per annumHours per week – 37.5 The Specialist Stroke Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit is based at the Vale Community Hospital in Dursley, and offers residents of Gloucestershire a dedicated specialist stroke rehabilitation service in a Community Hospital environment.Adopting national best practice this unit will ensure that people suffering from a stroke within Gloucestershire will benefit from an improved clinical pathway, maximising the health outcomes of those people who are likely to improve with In Patient Specialist Rehabilitation. There will be close collaborative working with colleagues in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital and colleagues in the Countywide Early Supported Discharge Team.As a band 5 you will be offered a specific Stroke Education Programme as well as other development opportunities, such as completion of the Physical Assessment and Clinical Reasoning course.
