A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the roleWe are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician on a permanent basis for our Cam site near Dursley, U.K. Kerry Cam site is a well-established, small factory with about 35 employees. It is a regional centre for Gum Acacia production, which is used for global food, beverage, and pharmaceutical markets. The site has onsite parking, and it is located close to Cam& Dursley train station (less than 15 mins walk) and bus stops (2 mins walk). 30 minute-drive from Bristol, 20 minute-drive from Gloucester.Principle Role:Quality Control for incoming raw materials and finished goods with additional Quality administration requirementsMain responsibilities:Implementation of relevant QC testing as per the site testing schedule (pre-shipment samples, raw materials, finished product)To operate and maintain the positive release system for Cam site production goodsTo operate and maintain the approval system for pre-shipment samplesTo operate and maintain the release system for Cam site raw materialsMaintenance of commercial samples data base and relevant documentation and sending commercial samples when requestedTo arrange analysis of samples with 3rd party laboratory on a daily basisMaintaining QC consumablesCreating quality notificationsInternal auditingBasic maintenance, validation and cleaning of laboratory equipmentEnsure that relevant procedures and work instructions are followedTo report any issues to the line manager and assist with the corrective actions as requiredProvide concise and accurate information to support any investigationsTaking on some deputy roles for the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager when requiredAdministrative:Filing and storage of retained samples as per the site proceduresTo input and maintain relevant batch process documentation to satisfy internal policy and external accreditation requirementsMaintenance of records of certification of analysis for incoming raw materials and finished goodsQualifications and skillsStrong organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completionAttention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracyAbility to work towards deadlinesAbility to act on own initiative, working alone or in a team environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisationWorking knowledge of SAP and using spreadsheets and email would be an advantageRelevant experience working in the food / manufacturing environment would be an advantageWhats in it for me Opportunity for career development,matched pension scheme to up to 10% and access to an employee assistance program and employee benefit platform.In Kerry we benefit from the knowledge of our colleagues who bring a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds, lifestyles and experiences.Oneteam fostering an inclusive culture that, above all, inspires food and nourishes life.One culture where everyone bringstheir unique perspectives and experiences to help make us better, together.We are committed to nurturing anenvironment of positivity and inclusiveness, where everyone can be at their best, both personally and professionally.Our recruitment, selection and assessment process are based on theskills and competencies of the specific roles andbased entirely on merit.We are committed to and value Diversity and Inclusion in all recruitment processes within Kerry anddo not discriminatebased on gender, race, class, economic status, ethnicbackground, sexual orientation, age, political beliefs, veteran status, marital status or any other protected characteristic.Get in touch today- we look forward to meeting you!
