A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the roleHere at Kerry our Engineering Managers are a key part of the Engineering department as they provide leadership and direction to members of the team whilst also being responsible for all local, national, and regional- including KERRY EMEA compliance requirementsare met and maintained at all times.Our Cam site where you will be based are well known for providing different applications like pastry improvers, Ice cream stabilizations, shelf life extensions for Doughnuts, texture systems and coatings for confectionary and fibre enrichments all for well-knownand Kerry own brands. Reporting into the Site Lead you will be responsible for the Engineering budget spend decisions, site capital planning, process optimisation, energy management and maintenance delivery onsite.You will be a key player in working alongside site teams into working by Kerry Production Systems and be passionate about people and process to develop a vision and lead the transition to a world class site function.What will I be doing-Align & lead the site Engineering team to ensure they are engaged and high performing. Build trust through the skilled application of people management processes and open 2 way communication. This will mean focusing on Recruiting the best talent, inductingyour new members, building skillset through training feedback and support. Ensure that there is an adequate hierarchal succession map and associated personal development plans across the site Engineering team, whilst managing on going performance. Managinggrievance and disciplinary issues as required with the support of HR.-Responsible for ensuring Kerry QSHE policies & standards are implemented and adhered to on site by the engineering department and any external services / contractors utilised by engineering.-Demonstrates leadership in the area of safety. Ensures all engineering and maintenance activities on site and meeting the appropriate health and safety standards-Responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to local, national, regional engineering statuary and/or compliance requirements including the adherence to Kerry procedures, regional and/or global standards. Ensures that equipmentand processes are operated to and maintained within their safe design operating limits in a way that avoids danger to personnel, the public or Kerry property.-Identifies spare parts holding policy for the site..-Use the direction of Kerry Asset Management Systems to develop the engineering processes on site in terms of moving from reactive to planned Maintenance, Asset Management, Development of appropriate metrics KPIs to reflect the effectiveness of engineering,Materials management, Planning and Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, ICT Systems, Effective management of site utilities and services, Contracts and energy Management-Accountable for ensuring that an effective & comprehensive preventative maintenance programme is in place & executed on time & on budget. This is in the form of a documented scheme which is managed through Kerry systems. Identifies & assess the criticalityof plant, equipment & systems and adjusts engineering strategy to ensure efficient operation & reduced process downtime. <sp
