Job Description

Care AssistantAn exciting position has become available for a Care Assistant based in Dursley. Part-time or Full-time hours are available but you must be able to work mornings, evenings and some weekends, as part of a rota.The successful candidate(s) will be required to assist the Homes 11 residents with daily tasks encouraging independence and person centred care. This means helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible while respecting their choices,privacy and dignity. It means having fun and laughter with them and using your skills to help them deal with day-to-day challenges making sure they enjoy themselves in a stimulating and homely environment.Role Requirements

  • Experience of caring for others would be useful, but not essential as full training can be given
  • You will be comfortable talking to, and working with, a variety of people
  • You should be able to work in a team and also on your own initiative
  • You need to be able to keep clear and concise records
Role Responsibilities
  • Assisting and responding to residents personal care requirements and reporting any changes
  • Writing and updating care records and reports
  • Providing support and care to vulnerable people in the care home setting.
  • Communication with families and health professionals as necessary
  • Accurate recording and supporting of day to day activities
