We believe in offering our people the best possible opportunities, with extensive support to gain professional qualifications, and we go the extra mile to recognise and reward potential.About the role:Predominantly based from either our Tring or Detling depot, this is a new role, reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager. The successful applicant will administer contracts, invoice, valuate projects, present data that is easy to understand working alongside finance for accurate month end reporting.Your main roles and responsibilities are:

  • Preparing estimates and quotations for a variety of clients
  • Advising on contractual claims
  • Reviewing contracts, identifying risk and opportunities
  • Applying for annual increase in rates
  • Raising applications and invoices
  • Cash collection and management of Aged Debt
  • Providing timely reports to Senior Leadership Team
  • Managing costs, assets and pass for payment
  • Procurement strategy input
  • Inputting into budgets and forecasts for reporting
  • Managing change control (Compensation events, early warnings)
  • Preparing for and attending monthly Management Accounts meetings
  • About You:A highly motivated and confident individual, you are commercially aware, logical, meticulous, and engaging in the way you work. You have great communication both verbally and in writing and demonstrate the best in service and client care. You thrive working on your own initiative, solving problems and are a sound team player. Travel to our Head Office and our other UK depots will be required, so a valid UK driving licence, own transport, and a willingness to travel is essential.Qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Strong numeracy, reporting writing and presentation ability (cost & value)
  • Commercially aware and financially astute
  • Great communication skills and client care
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several tasks or projects to deadline and/or budget
  • Ability to use own initiative and work under direction when required
  • Comfortable in meetings and be willing to contribute
  • Minimum of HNC qualification or suitable level of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft office and communications software
  • Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of NEC3/4 Contracts
  • RICS or ICES membership
  • Traffic Management knowledge
