Job Description

Tenancy Sustainment and Support OfficerCrewe, Cheshire East37.5 hours per weekPermanent£24,700Youll provide an efficient and holistic supported housing management service for customers living in Concrete properties in Crewe. Youll identify their needs and support them with any issues, helping them to regain independence and manage their own tenancy.New staff can take part in our 24 hour on-call customer contact service after completion of training. This is on a voluntary basis to earn an extra payment on top of your salary.Job requirements

  • Conduct viewings, arrange tenancy sign-ups, make and maintain benefit claims, monitor rent arrears, sort repairs, manage anti-social behaviour and carry out property health and safety checks.
  • Identify customers support needs and address any issues to help them regain independence and one day manage their own tenancy. Support vulnerable customers who may have complex needs and behaviours.
  • Develop and review personalised support plans with customers. This includes their personal health and wellbeing, debt management, benefit entitlement and move-on housing options.
  • Complete and regularly review detailed risk assessments that highlight risks to customers, their tenancy or other people.
  • Be the first point of contact for void reporting and monitoring.
  • Make sure properties are maintained and kept to a good standard.
  • Carry out customer satisfaction surveys when customers leave the service.
What were looking for
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience working in housing and/or dealing with the public in a busy service environment.
  • Experience working with people with complex needs, who have faced multiple disadvantages including homelessness.
  • Experience working in a multi-agency environment.
  • Knowledge of the housing benefits system and housing provision.
  • Organised with good attention to detail and good IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work.
  • DBS check.
