Job Description

My predominant form of communication is non-verbal. Staff will need to be trained in using PECs to support me to make choices and to support me with my daily routine.I prefer a quieter and calm environments.At times I can present with behaviours perceived as challenging, I have developed these over time, as a way of communicating my needs.I struggle to understand time, or how long an activity lasts. Staff support my with the use of sand timers to help me understand how long I should participate in a given activity. Job IntroductionI am a young man in my 20s, living in my own home in Crewe, Cheshire. I have a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Autism and Epilepsy, as a result, I presents with a range of behaviours typical of those with sensory integration issues and autism. Imlooking for support workers to help me stay safe in my own home, I am supported by 2staff during the day and 2 staff overnight.
