Job Description

Supply Chain Planner (6 Month Fixed Term Contract) - Crewe - Up to £28,000We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join one of Europes leading Logistics companies on a 6 month fixed term contract based out of Crewe, Cheshire.To provide a co-located depot stores, inventory planning and forecasting service to deliver the customers maintenance programme in accordance with contractual requirements. Operationally responsible for providing all material requirements to point of use (kit/vendingetc), and maintaining system records and stock accuracy.Supply Chain Planner - The Rewards

Supply Chain Planner - Requirements
  • Qualification at academic Level 3 in a related subject
  • Clean driving licence
  • In date FLT licence (counterbalance)
  • Experience at team leader level within a warehousing and logistics environment
  • Working knowledge of material planning, forecasting and procurement activities
  • Extensive and daily use of warehouse computer / management systems
  • Trained and experienced in all aspects of warehouse health and safety
  • Confident in writing, reviewing and the implementation of processes and KPIs
  • Experience of operating MHE safely, counterbalance FLT specifically
Supply Chain Planner - Responsibilities
  • The safe operation of the stores with good quality supply of materials to the maintenance teams
  • Operate best practice processes, to ensure operational performance is delivered in line with contractual requirements, through the monitoring of clear and effective KPIs
  • Drive counterbalance FLT on depot to load / unload materials as required
  • Undertake daily stock checks of relevant items to compile daily list of issues and ensure stock integrity levels are continually high
  • Use customer planning information to create maintenance kits on a just in time basis
  • Responsible for conducting the routine core activities, focusing on those that are time bound
  • Responsible for completion of all non-core/adhoc activities and assessment of the priority
  • Travel to other relevant sites to replenish lineside material as and when required
  • Effective customer interface to provide maintenance planning intelligence to the forecasting, planning and procurement teams
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels both internally and externally to achieve high levels of Customer engagement whilst maintaining a culture of openness, responsiveness, honesty, ethics and responsibility
  • Attend and participate in the depot planning and daily production meeting
  • Ensure all customer upcoming maintenance requirements are known and communicated to the relevant forecasting, planning and procurement teams
  • Periodically review, monitor and amend the processes for the depot operations to ensure the most efficient way of operating
  • Ensure all individual tasks carried out are in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and best practice
  • Ensure periodic H&S reviews are completed on time
