Job Description

**Supplier Manager** (Contract)Salary: £50,000 - £59,000 (£27.50 - £32 equivalent hourly rate) Location: Crewe/HybridJob SummaryThe supplier manager will oversee Supplier Management topics to ensure continuity of Supply for all current production models and support project development.Key Accountabilities:

  • Development of Suppliers in line with Company standard KPIs
  • Facilitates and leads cross functional team to deliver supplier objectives
  • Monitors and reports performance through use of supplier and customer data
  • Lead/Support taskforce management to achieve supplier performance improvement
  • Supports management decision for removal or entering a supplier into critical supplier program
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in Automotive, Supplier Project Management and Supply Chain management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience in the systematic planning and follow-up of Supplier Production Preparation activities.
  • Proven technical product and process knowledge.
  • Proven experience managing critical suppliers & supply chains
Practical & Technical Knowledge:
  • Experienced in the application of Lean and Continuous improvement techniques / methodologies.
  • In-Depth knowledge and experience in complex problem solving
  • Strong capability in manufacturing processes, capacity and constraint analysis.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills appropriate for the role in applicable manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in APQP / DFM / DFA / DFMEA / PFMEA / PPAP
  • Experienced in the application of sig sigma
  • Strong capability to identify best practice & Benchmarking
